Roadside parking is available for about 7-8 cars, and while it fills up quickly on weekends, it’s convenient and free.

Cultural Interiors and Rajasthani Decor
Stepping into Mohanlal Ji feels like entering a colourful desert-inspired celebration. The walls are adorned with traditional Rajasthani artwork – motifs of camels, bright desert scenes, and beautifully detailed mandalas.
This vibrant decor creates a festive mood even before the thali arrives. The ground floor offers comfortable seating, while the upper floor significantly expands capacity.
Adjacent to the upper floor dining space is a large banquet hall that can accommodate around a hundred guests easily, making it a popular choice for community gatherings and family events.

A Beautiful Naamkaran Ceremony in the Banquet Hall
During my visit, I witnessed a ceremony happening in the banquet hall that a Maharashtrian family had organised to celebrate their baby girl’s Naamkaran (name-giving), and the entire space was filled with festive energy, traditional attire and happy conversations.
One of the most memorable touches was a large beautiful shell, intricately decorated and set on the stage. At the auspicious moment, the shell opened mechanically, revealing the baby girl’s name – Vihana. It was a highlight moment that blended tradition with a modern creative twist.
I spoke to the baby’s parents, and they were extremely happy with the arrangements done by Mohanlal Ji thali restaurant. Their guests, some of whom had travelled from Mumbai and Pune, were impressed by the ambience, service, and especially the food.
Experiences like this truly highlight why Mohanlal Ji’s banquet hall is becoming a preferred event destination in Nashik.

The Food Experience
Mohanlal Ji serves one of the most elaborate vegetarian spread in the city, known for offering the highest number of dishes included in an unlimited vegetarian thali.
During my visit, several dishes stood out for their flavour and freshness. The Dahi Vada was balanced and refreshing, while the veg cutlet with its spicy potato filling added a crispy bite to the platter.

The kadhi, prepared in a mild Gujarati style, paired perfectly with the plain rice and khichadi, and the soft rotla gave a rustic touch to the meal.
The paneer sabji was rich and satisfying, and the basundi rounded off the experience with its creamy sweetness. Overall, this is a thali designed for indulgence – perfect for festive weekends or family outings.

Service and Crowd
Despite being a packed Sunday afternoon, the staff handled everything with remarkable speed and politeness. Plates were refilled promptly, requests were attended to quickly, and the service felt warm even amidst the rush.
Mohanlalji tends to be quite busy on weekends, drawing large family groups, locals, tourists and people traveling toward the Gangapur–Sula belt.
Banquet Hall & Pricing
The banquet hall is ideal for birthdays, engagements, small ceremonies, and community meals. Prices for group thalis or events are negotiable and depend on the number of guests and the day of the week.

Nashik’s Thali Culture
The reason a place like Mohanlalji thrives is deeply tied to the city’s social and cultural fabric.
Maharashtrians have brought their home-style comfort flavours, Gujaratis have contributed their love for farsan and sweet-savory combinations, while Rajasthanis have enriched the scene with ghee-laden festive preparations and rustic rotlas.
Mohanlalji Thali captures all these influences beautifully, offering a dining experience that feels grand, colourful, and rooted in tradition.
