Shri Balaji Mandir at Kapad Peth in Nashik has commenced its 15-day Brahmotsav festival with the start of Navratri.
Several preliminary cultural events took place in the preceding days and the first major rituals of Ghatsthapana and Nagar Parikrama took place on 22 September 2025 as hundreds of devotees gathered to pay homage to Lord Balaji.

Brahmotsav is traditionally associated with the famed annual festival at Tirupati Balaji temple (Tirumala), where the Utsava deity is taken out in grand processions over nine days.
Nashik’s version draws inspiration from this heritage, blending local temple customs with cultural performances.

Brahmotsav Begins at Shri Balaji Mandir Nashik
The centuries old Shri Vyankatesh Balaji Mandir temple located on the banks of the Godavari near Panchavati was decorated with lights, flower arrangements, and traditional motifs.
The festival is expected to feature daily rituals, processions, and special traditional arts performances dedicated to Shri Venkateshwara by renowned artists over the next 10 days.

The start of Brahmotsav on 22 September was marked not only by religious rituals but also by the Nagar Parikrama, where the idol of Shri Balaji was taken on a grand procession around the town on a beautifully decorated wooden chariot (rath).
Devotees thronged the streets to witness the divine tour, chanting the various names of Shri Balaji and offering prayers along the route.
